No, no art this week. Yes, I have done some, but the point in this post is a little different.
Subject -: Automated Posting on Social Networks
Using automated posting for Twitter is quite controversial for some, although major businesses have no qualms at all in using social automation to make them appear awake 24/7.
Let's face it, no one can be awake 24 hours around the clock so automated posting is almost a must in a day and age where social media is the way business is turning.
Note: Automated posting does not mean that you can automate your messages and never ever say a human word to anyone! Show you are a human being, be human and be humane - and for artists, stop being so darn up yourselves that you never retweet anyone - all the rest of us see are your continual automated posts. Authors on the other hand are wonderful sharers of their inner lives with a rich sharing ability to many around them, and at this time I mostly applaud authors rather than artists. I won't name names, but I'm tempted. :)
Having said that, there are some beautiful artists - inside and out that share prolifically and it's to those whom I see as the givers who deserve to receive the most.
As for me, I love to fun around in my social networking and at this point in time it has been on Twitter, which I have finally worked out!
Now it's time for me to get back to my Facebook Business Page and give back to those who have supported me. Alas I am a little late in doing that this week as planned as I ended up in hospital - nothing major, I don't think anyway, but not sure yet and do NOT want to Doc Google anymore!
As for Twitter, and in reality this can be done for any social network site you belong to, but Twitter in particular - I have tried explaining to some as to how to schedule posts for a weekend so the rest of their time can be creating and interacting on a human level.
Here is how it's done. Copy the text below which is all my links et al and replace it with your own words, hashtags and links - and of course correct the dates etc, but do pay attention to the "," after the time and the spacing after the year.

Now save your file as [name it anything you want, but I'll use abstract] abstract.csv and yes, do this in silly old MS notepad.
Upload to HootSuites bulk scheduler will allow you to pre-schedule 350 tweets, or tweets, FB, LinkedIn and G+ combined - more than enough!
I really hope this helps someone out there understand that you don't need intensive spreadsheets, and you can reuse your work by simply using the edit-replace tool in notepad and changing the date - then upload your work again.
This is also a big Shoutout to Hootsuite who I believe have created a tool that gives us a wee bit more time to be human - and I am not affiliated with Hootsuite in any other way than merely a customer of theirs. :)
Have a pleasant weekend and enjoy life - it isn't all about work!
